Estoppel certificate

Also called: estoppel letter

An estoppel certificate is a signed statement an association gives a buyer, seller, or lender showing exactly what a specific unit or parcel owes, such as regular assessments, any special assessments, and outstanding fines or fees. Florida caps what an association may charge to prepare it and sets how quickly it must be delivered.
